1. What the service is

Val's Stock Screener is an automated research tool that filters publicly available market data using fixed rules. It produces a short list of stocks that meet those rules. It is not financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security.

2. Not financial advice

The results shown by the screener are not recommendations. The app cannot understand your personal situation, goals, risk tolerance, or tax position. You are solely responsible for any investment decision you make. Always do your own research and consider speaking to a qualified financial adviser before investing.

3. No guarantees

We do not guarantee that the screener will identify profitable investments, that the data will always be accurate or complete, or that the service will be available at all times. Market data can be delayed or incorrect. Past performance does not predict future results.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. You must comply with the laws of your country and any rules set by your broker or financial regulator. The service is not directed at people in countries where it would be unlawful to use it.

5. Plans and payments

Some features require payment. When payments are enabled, they are processed by Stripe. You either buy a pack of 5 individual Fast Scans, which have no time limit and stay yours until you use them, or you buy access for a fixed block of time up front: 3 weeks, 7 weeks or 12 weeks. Inside your time, Scans and downloads are unlimited. Each purchase is a one-time payment, not a subscription, and never renews automatically. There are no recurring charges and no cancellation steps. Your clock starts on your first Scan, and extra time bought later is added onto the end. You may pause your clock once, for between 1 and 21 days of your choosing; the paused days are added back, and pressing Scan now ends the pause. Refunds and discounts are offered only as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the service to break any law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app, its data, or other users' accounts.
• Overload the service with automated requests or abuse the scan features.
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the screener or its results without permission.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its code, its design, and its branding belong to [Owner entity / sole-trader name — to be inserted]. You may use the service for personal research. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, [Owner entity / sole-trader name — to be inserted] is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the service, including any investment losses. This includes loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

9. Changes to the service or terms

We may change these terms, the features of the app, or the pricing at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use means you accept the changes.

10. Governing law

11. Termination and suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to Val's Stock Screener at any time if you breach these terms, abuse the service, or if we need to stop operating all or part of the service. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that accrued before termination, including your responsibility for payments already made and our limitation of liability.

12. Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid for any reason, that part will be treated as separate from the rest and the remaining terms will continue to apply in full force.
